Simon Taufel, the ICC elite panel umpire who has been consistently voted the best umpire from among the panel may be lured to join the IPL.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s multi-million dollar Twenty20 venture will be pursuing this elite umpire as his contract with the International Cricket Council expires on March 31.
International cricket already judged poorly due to retirement of some good umpires and bad umpiring from the remaining may lose its best jewel to the all-consuming monster that the IPL is turning out to be
