Ishant Sharma is a right arm fast bowler. He has a high arm delivery action and is able to move the ball in both directions. At the age of 18, Sharma was called to join the Indian squad for the tour of South Africa in 2006-07 but at the last minute he was not sent.

The 6 foot 5 inch Ishant Sharma picket up 5 wickets during the third test in Bangalore against Pakistan. In Perth and Adelaide matches against Australia, Ishant bowled beautifully and helped India to one Victory at the WACA.

In the ODI’s also he bowled several good spells and helped India to their first tri-series victory Down Under.

In the IPL auction he was one of highest paid players and was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders after some heavy bidding. Ishant is an exciting find for Indian cricket and we should be seeing a lot more of him in the coming years and is sure to play a big role in the IPL.
