I think you are spot on. I see so many people who become self-proclaimed expert and starts dictating how a particular technology / website should be used.

Social media sites are great because it let you do what you want and people boot off people whom they don’t like.

People will do what people will do, no matter what YOU may do.

If a single mention of a single affiliate link is going to bother someone, they can certainly a)ignore it or b)unfollow.

Unless you’re bombarding them with absolutely nothing else but affiliate links, you’ve treated them politely and respectfully. Which is all anyone can want.

It’s impossible to make everyone happy. That’s something only they can do for themselves, so just wish them luck!

Ok, you speak truth here about using Twitter as each person sees fit…applying the same rules of discourse as one would apply in an offline relationship, of course.

And on as off…some people use it annoyingly, to me. But I’m trying to grow, stretch and permit opposing views and behaviors in my ’space.’ (You obviously are NOT one of them)
