Are You Building Influence Assets Online?

Think about what gives some bloggers influence. Take blogs about making money – names like Andy Beard, Darren Rowse, Yaro Starak and Brian Clark pop into your mind.

But there are literally THOUSANDS of other bloggers like them.

Why do these names stand out?

Sure, they have great content, backed by solid experience, and update their blogs frequently. But is that alone enough?

Or take email marketers in the Internet marketing niche. Willie Crawford, John Reese and Paul Myers are names that spring to mind first.

Why?

Not because they have the biggest list sizes – but because they have responsive lists.

These blogs and email lists are assets that give their owners influence.

Their owners took the time, trouble and effort to build influence assets.

Is it easy and fast?

Of course not. Otherwise, everyone would have one.

After all, anyone can write 10 great blog posts over a week. Fewer can manage 100 over a month. And fewer still can do 750 over a year.

Yet it is the ability to constantly create useful content, nurture responsive communities and deliver consistently high value over prolonged periods of time, with discipline, determination and dedication that brands you an authority, gains you trust and gives you influence among your peers.

Are you building influence assets of your own? How are you doing it? Share your thoughts.
