That is the trick isn't it - to not get trapped by the past. I work with clients who are/were for the most part stuck in un-forgiveness, stuck in the past. Part of getting unstuck IS to find a way to look back lovingly. You're so right, the key is to nurture and honor our past for all the wonderful things it has led to (like TODAY!) no matter how horrific it might have been. And when it's filled with good times and good memories, what a joy it is to remember! Finding the blessings in the horror is the path to freedom. Dr Mani - you were a huge 2008 highlight for us!
