As human beings, we are all social creatures to some degree, and the criticism or feedback from others is just their way of letting us know what they do or don't like about the interaction they we're having. Teaching myself to listen and learn rather than immediately react to that feedback has been one of the hardest things I've ever done. It's also one of the most rewarding efforts because of the immediate results that you can experience. As you also point out, finding the pieces of information in people's feedback on how you can grow is important. Rather than simply changing wholesale to appease someone, truly learning more about yourself and growing as an individual is the main point. Thanks for the link too!
