Heart-break in Haiti

by Dr.Mani on January 13, 2010

RE-TWEET IT!

I shared my thoughts here about the horrific disaster that hit Haiti yesterday night.

For the past few years, I’ve been involved in helping Frank McKinney’s “Caring House Project” which builds homes for the homeless in Haiti.

As soon as I heard about the special initiative Frank’s team is taking to secure planes to fly immediately to the quake stricken region, I sent a donation of $100 – and this note:

- – -

“Frank, I’m sending what I hope will be the first installment
of a sizable donation to help out in Haiti.

God speed and if I can help out in any other way, please let
me know.”

All success,
Dr.Mani

The next step in raising funds to help with the relief activities spearheaded by Frank’s team is asking my special people to help.

Yes, I mean YOU :)

If you can make a donation, please go right over to Frank’s website and contribute whatever amount you like, knowing that the funds will be directly be put to use by an experienced entrepreneur who fully understands the local situation because he has been engaged in working there for many years.

Once you’ve done, please let me know (by email, or by posting a comment here, or on Twitter) – and I’ll send you something really nice, simply as a way to say “Thank you for caring and helping!”

Or even if you can’t give any cash just now (I understand how things may be tight), you can still help by spreading word about the Caring House Project’s initiative – and inviting others to help, if they can.

And if that’s too hard, please spare a moment to think about the suffering, say a short prayer for them, because that helps too.

As the words of the song I linked to earlier say:

“Send them your heart
So they’ll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free…”

Thank you from my heart!
