Such a difficult time of the year. With me, I'm facing the second Christmas without my Mom who lived with me for years due to her failing health. It doesn't matter how long we've had them with us on this earth, when they have passed...we miss them. Even though I said I wouldn't be the type of person who played out the "what if's" and "if onlys", I have to admit, yes, I'm turned into one of those! All we can do is take and learn from the lessons they've taught us and carry on. Peace and blessings to all who are facing anniversaries of loved ones passings... Karen Cook My heart aches for you. Many of us live in denial state about our failures and keep on shifting blames on others. Without knowing it, we become dishonest with ourselves and are blind to the real cause of our failures. Rather than looking in the mirror and pointing to ourselves as the root of our failures, we look for scape-goats. Instead of looking inward, we explore the external(friends,society,government). Until we can take responsibility like your Dad did, most of us will have sad comments at our funerals. We also tend to underrate the relationships we have with our families nowadays. Instead of finding ways of spending valuable time with loved ones, most of us use work and earning a living as excuse to avoid them. What I know is that we have a lot of alternatives to over-demanding jobs- If we only sit down to carefully search. How right you are Dr. Mani.
