My Last Hurrah!

by Dr.Mani on February 25, 2009

My Last HurrahI’m taking a ’sabbatical’ from the regular work I do online – to pursue a dream.

A couple of movies I watched recently shared a similar theme. Both light-heartedly, yet sensitively, explored the serious subject of dying. More specifically, how to LIVE before dying.

“The Bucket List” was about making a list of things to do before one dies – and then working through it. “The Last Holiday” was about daring to do the things one always hesitated about – until the realization hit that life isn’t forever.

As a doctor, a surgeon, a heart specialist, I have always understood (perhaps more poignantly than most) how tenuous life is, how suddenly it can be snuffed out, even without warning.

And these things convinced me that it was time to live out one of my dreams – to write books. Three of them, actually. One will be a ‘how to’ business book. Another will be in the ‘Self Help/New Age’ genre. And the last will be a fiction novel.

I’ve decided to set aside 6 months to do it. It may take longer – or maybe get done sooner. It doesn’t matter.

My online business is structured to run pretty much hands-off, so I don’t expect it to be affected seriously. But just to insulate myself against any downturn, I’m doing one last launch before taking this break…

My Last Hurrah!

It’s a business optimization course, called the BUSINESS MULTIPLIER. In a free report, I introduce the concept and share the EIGHT force-multipliers that make profit surges inevitable in any business. The report is being avidly downloaded and getting some rave reviews.

I’ve given a few people ’sneak previews’ of some modules of the full course too, and their comments and feedback has been glowing too. Some snippets:

“In ‘Business Multiplier’ you’ve left no stone unturned in telling exactly how any product owner can boost profits by offering specific, well written testimonials.”” – Joanne Mason
“The 15 minutes you
will invest to discover this Business Multiplier strategy, and maybe another 15 to implement it – will be the best use of your time and it will instantly pay for itself multi-fold!”
” – Adam Urbanski
“…this should be a breath of fresh air for newbies in the business. Your method is an excellent way for marketers to build their list, make more sales, and maintain a high customer/lead retention rate.” – T.M.Harris
“4 seconds into the audio I knew it was something I wanted to listen to carefully. After 5 minutes, I put my laundry aside, started the audio over and sat down to take some serious notes. Good thing you can stop and rewind because the content was really great.” – Tina Williams
“This is not only for people who are entrepreneurs… The audio also gives ideas for wanna be entrepreneurs who are starving for ideas for starting a new business… I strongly recommend everyone to give a try you will definitely benefit from it.” – S.Anand Nataraj

And there are many more on file. The course will be ready in a week or two. I won’t be pitching it with a lot of hype and hoopla, so if you’re even curious about it, I encourage you to sign up to the ‘Announcement List’. You’ll get a free report giving more details, too.

Oh, and please tell a friend :)

Eagerly looking forward to read the books you are planning to write, specially the novel! Congratulations on taking such a decision. At the same time wondering how you make time for doing all such thins when you are already busy in multifarious activities. Best wishes.

Doc

They say – a journey begins with a single step.

You decided to take that single – and now – you are dancing to your own symphony – taking multiple steps.

YOU ARE GALLOPING TO REACH THAT DESTINATION.

WE KNOW – YOU WILL ALWAYS MAKE IT.

You are an inspiration.

God bess you.

Dr. Mani,

This is a decision that everyone should make periodically. Stop, and refocus on the priorities of life.

Leo Babauta’s “The Power of Less” is at the top of my “to-read” list. And its emphasis on stripping away the “busy” in our lives seems to correspond with your direction. And with themes I’m hearing from various corners of my network.

Best of luck – let me know how I can be of assistance during this period.
