Persistence With Purpose

RE-TWEET IT!

Blind adherence to any dictum is not good sense.

Persistence is good. But it also has to be purposeful.

If sticking on with what you’re doing is bringing no one any benefit, but is instead harming many, then going on just for the sake of being persistent isn’t quite right.

Unless there is a purpose behind your persistence.

In which case, never give up!

On a recent trip to Indonesia, we were beseiged by vendors trying to sell us trinkets. As we walked away, a few followed along. By the time we had gone half a mile, only one of the 30+ was still with us.

We bought 4 souvenirs from him!

His persistence was purposeful.

Is yours?
