RE-TWEET IT!

It’s December. Time of the year when the inevitable questions pop into my head, as I look back on all that happened in 2009.
Did I do enough?
Should I have tried harder?
But this time, the answers are conditioned by a new perspective.
Last night, we went out with family for a dinner with two good friends. One of them had recently suffered a personal loss. His boss, the country head of a software giant and just a couple of years older than him at 42, died suddenly.
“He was always pushing harder to do more, get more done. The stress levels were often high.”
The words brought back unhappy memories of the loss of my own colleague, a heart surgeon who worked closely with me on my project – but was over-stressed from trying to do too much, too fast.
That’s one reason I chose to make just a single New Year’s resolution for 2010 and beyond – this one.
To cherish the moment – as it unfolds.
Every moment.
Every day.
Every year.
You?

Dr. Mani:
Hello from the foot of Mount Fuji, Japan. I just found your website and want to say thank you for this post – especially, “To cherish the moment – as it unfolds.” So many of us are so intent on rehashing the past or planning the future that we lose the connection and beauty of the moment we have. We miss the wonder of its unfolding. I would like to share a short blog I just posted on recognizing that each of us is unique – and essential. http://www.energydoorways.com/blog/natural-energy-wisdom/catrien-ross-on-sounding-your-unique-note-in-the-world/
