Poor Man's Product Launch Formula – It's FREE

by Dr.Mani on March 24, 2008

RE-TWEET IT!

For weeks I’ve been teasing you and my other readers with
notes about Product Launch Formula, snippets from videos
Jeff Walker has been releasing, and encouragement to just
study the process for a Master’s level training on how to
launch a product.

But that’s NOT enough.

So I’m stretching myself for you – and am going to create a
short (or rather, long) article about product launches.

I’m calling it the ‘Poor Man’s PLF’

And until recently, it was FREE… but now you can have it in
exchange for a donation of $10 or more to the Dr.Mani Children
Heart Foundation
(where your contribution will be used to fund
a child’s heart operation).

Click here to donate now – and please mention that you’d like the Poor PLF report!

Thank you Dr. Mani for providing this useful information for those that are unable to purchase higher priced products about this. I think everyone should bookmark this site and come back often.

This is my favourite post that I have read of yours Dr Mani. I have learned a lot just from this about my own up-coming launch. I realise its more than just emailing a few people about the product and I might have already given too much information!

3 Jason Gilman March 24, 2008 at 4:05 pm

I like how you’ve distilled the launch process down to the most elemental level. It’s also a great starting place to analyze various other marketer’s product launch processes.
It’s funny that Caroline just posted because she’s one of my favorite IM bloggers and I think she is poised for a lot of success because of the reputation and connections she’s established via her blog.

Excellent post Dr. Mani. This information will help many unable to afford Jeff’s material but need a blueprint on the steps of a successful product launch. And for those even more interested in the specifics, join Dr. Mani’s paid program…you will be pleased with the information you receive weekly during the 6 month program, for a very reasonable cost I might add.
Thanks again Dr. Mani

Thank you Dr. Mani. Great post. As an inexperienced netpreneur, it is good to be reminded of all I am capable of doing successfully without a high priced education item. As you say at the end…reading is not the key. Action is the key to success.

Hi Mani, as USUAL, you have a way of stripping out all the unnecessary stuff and leaving things crystal clear. It’s why we like working with you to get YOUR products ready for launch! You are always such an inspiration.

@William, @Caroline – Thank you for the kind words :)

@Jason – that was the idea :)

@Lynda – I appreciate your feedback, and your endorsement
of the paid program!

@tom – We are all ‘inexperienced’ in one way or another,
and pick the best suited methods to deal with it – by
buying comprehensive coaching, or learning by trial and
error. Whichever you must pick, go with it – but DO
something and learn from mistakes to improve. That’s
the key.

@Marian – Thank you, I’m just as big a fan of you and
your service as you are of me! Profits Publishing is
a key pillar of my online business, I recommend you to
many clients regularly :)

http://www.ProfitsPublishing.com is Marian’s website, btw

All success

This was so helpful. Even though I’m not in a position to purchase Jeff’s materials at this time, I’m very grateful that you’ve put the product launch process in such a succinct way.
Thanks for all that you do – and how do you have the time to build your business while taking such good care of sick children?!

Hi Dr. Mani,

Great post! You’ve got the Product Launch Formula down the lowest common denominator so anyone can understand it.

Influence is my own most valuable book too. I’ve invested thousands in copywriting information but none is worth much without the info in Cialdini’s book. It should be in every marketer’s library.

God bless,

Andy

Mani

An excellent post which nicely summarises what can seem an overwhelming process to some, especially when the process is given a high price tag! Your post amply demonstrates that an individual can work through the steps in the process and achieve great results – if they take action. This would make a wonderful workbook/checklist style document which people could work through – although that is probably what you have in mind for the “paid for” product :-)

Take care

Paul

Great post as always Dr. I don’t know why, but reading this, I felt it came from your heart.

I can feel these things in live and I can feel them in print as well.

I am not buying PLF right now because I am too busy on other projects. In fact, I am going to launch a product in a non IM niche (that I will master easily… Hint it’s a language niche and my USP is HUGE!).

I just wanted to add this:

For those who want to learn how to launch a product:

Step 1: Just register a new yahoo email address
Step 2: Subcsribe to all Gurus lists, usual suspects like Mike, Yanik, Rich, Franck, Stephen…
Step 3: Don’t log in this email address every day otherwise you won’t be able to work on your business. In fact, just log in one time per week only and look at the headline that make you want to open.
Step 4: Create a swipe file of the emails, videos, sales letter and blog posts on your hard drive
Step 5: When you are ready to launch your product, study your swipe file like crasy
Step 6: Make contact with 2 or 3 JV partners in your list. Do not start with the BIG boys because you are doing the first launch. You are getting your first experience. Start Small.
Step 7: Launch!

Doing this, and actually taking action, you should make a successful product launch.

Step 8: Reinvest in Jeff Walker’s PLF

==> It works. Observation works. It’s how children learn everything. They observe, listen and then DO.

God Bless!

Franck.

Dr. By the way, I didn’t find your lie? What was the answer? That the course will stay for days or months?

Lying is bad…

13 Paul March 28, 2008 at 4:17 pm

Thanks, these tips were nicely compiled: Short and right to the point. I will use this page as a reference site when I feel I’m losing focus on my projects.

> Dr. By the way, I didn’t find your lie? What was the
> answer? That the course will stay for days or months?

Actually, that turned out becoming a ‘lie’ only AFTER I
posted this – because at the time I had no idea this was
going to be limited to a 24-hour promotion.

The ‘lie’ I referred to was it wasn’t necessary to buy
stuff at all, you could learn an awesome amount just
from the free videos and from observing the process.

> Lying is bad…

Tell me all about it! ;)

Great to hear about your growth and success, Franck.
It’s been oh-so-long since A.M.A.P., hasn’t it?!

All success

Hey Dr Yup, a very long time… I don’t know why but it seems that time goes faster online than off!

16 Evan March 30, 2008 at 10:51 pm

Thanks. A great executive summary.

Good overview with no gloss. It takes some time and work to this. The one thing I haven’t seen in Jeff Walker’s teasers (maybe I missed it) that you have here is some discussion about developing the product (looking at the market, don’t reinvent, etc.). I appreciated this.

Thanks Alot!

I am a university student from the caribbean.

I am trying to launch my first product and the information you provide is quite informative.

Can’t afford to buy the plf2 further some of my school books, unleashing this power would really help me through school.

Anyone can offer any more help?

19 rondella May 27, 2008 at 3:34 pm

an excellent shortened version of product launch formula… very useful as an overview to action… many thanks for it

Dr. Mani,

If everyone who read this post would just follow it, step by step, they would certainly be on the move. You are so generous with your giving. Just to imagine the time you spend giving us a little more knowledge to “chew on”.

Thanks! I printed this out so I can review it again and again.

Mary
