When I first got on to Facebook last summer, Tinu was one of the first people who connected with me. I heard about her from Sherman Hu (another great connection on Facebook) and learned quite a bit by purchasing here "Facebook Unhyped Marketing" ebook. Mari has reinforced this approach by encouraging others “…just by being out there and being yourself, bringing joy, adding value, uplifting people’s spirits with no “agenda” - people will remember you and want to connect with you." As you have said recently, social media is all about conversation and participation. Adding value to others is paramount, whether a product or service gets sold in the process, or not. As marketers, sales people & business owners, if all we care about is enhancing our bank account without enhancing a person's life, we have really missed it. Thank you for being so honest about how long it took you to find real success - I get so frustrated with the gurus who imply that you will be making your first million in a couple of months.
