RE-TWEET IT!

In the ‘make money online’ niche, you often see something strange – people talking (often boasting) about how much money they have made (or helped others make).
It is unnatural in the sense that how much you earn or keep is usually a matter of intimate personal knowledge. Public corporations are bound by law to disclose earnings data. But with rare exceptions, nothing forces individuals to reveal this information.
So why do we see many tall claims made by people in the MMO-IM niche? Especially when none of this data can be verified independently, and therefore credentialled and vouched for?
I came up with 3 good reasons:
TO INSPIRE
Knowing someone else has had a degree of financial success from doing something serves to inspire others not yet at that level. I know personally that I would have found it hard to believe that a certain point of economic success was possible unless I had seen it being achieved by people doing similar things to what I was learning to do myself.
TO IMPRESS
In this arena, beginners are more inclined to follow and learn from someone who has already achieved the kind and level of success they themselves aspire to. So by disclosing financial data, the ‘expert’ gets to impress the newbie. Unfortunately, though, the data itself is not reliable or even true, resulting in some heartbreak and frustration down the line.
TO INSTRUCT
Imagine learning stock market investing from someone on the breadline. NOT smart, right? If you’re going to teach someone how to make $500 a month, you’d better know how to do it – from your own personal experience. So, to instruct others, an individual declares his/her financial results.
Just 3 reasons to justify a school-boyish tendency to brag about ‘whose bank balance is bigger’, don’t you agree?
Can you think of any other reasons?

This is something that I decided to do from day one and my primary reason was to allow others to resonate with what I do. My first couple of months showed $0 income and then it started to trickle in during the months that followed. People see this and see that the money is real and I also show exactly where is comes from so people reading my blog think “yeah I could do that too”. I suppose that comes under the ‘inspire’ category now I’m not sure if I was inspiring anybody when I was earning $0!
Rightly said ! In the MMO niche bloggers like JC, Shoe claim to have made thousands of Dollars and newbie’s get very impressed!
What they dont realize is that it is sheer hard work – earning money online is not that easy! And when they realize that – they usually stop blogging !
