This Blog CONTENT post is a part of “2 Weeks To Launch Your Blog“.
We discussed a few elements of blog content in an earlier post. Now let’s look at some issues that are debated widely – and could be important while planning your blog launch.
Points to Ponder – How important is it to post content to your blog on schedule?
From a search engine indexing point of view, there is evidence to suggest that blogs that are updated regularly on a schedule gain more advantage from being spidered more often.
If you update your blog every day at, say, 06:00 a.m., then in a week or two, the search engine robots ‘learn’ to visit your blog to spider new content at or around that time. This means your new content gets indexed faster.
From your reader’s point of view, however, there’s more flexibility. Many blog visitors follow updates via RSS feed readers, and aren’t much affected by your blog posts being on a schedule or not. What matters more to them is the quality of your posts.
Points to Ponder – How to communicate effectively through your blog?
On the Web, people ’scan’ instead of ‘reading’.
Out of what little they ‘read’, the average person only understands 60% – and remembers less.
Communicating with visitors through your blog is a tricky challenge.
But by using tricks, you can make your blog post REACH your visitors – by making your posts ’scannable’
1. Use bullet points and short phrases instead of long winding sentences
2. Bold and CAPITALIZE important phrases and words
3. Like copywriting, use informative headings and sub-heads that on their own communicate the entire message
4. Intelligently use white space to avoid crowding text together
5. A picture is worth a thousand words. Use images.
6. Be concise, clear and crisp.
7. Like a good lecture, stick to one point – and make it effectively. Spread out multiple points over multiple blog posts.

These are excellent tips! I would add that using numbered lists (like you did in this post) is a good way to organize content.
