Asking Readers For Ideas To Blog
If you arrive at a blog which answers the exact same questions you’ve been asking yourself, would you read it carefully?
Of course, you would.
And the easiest way to know if you’re answering your audience’s questions is to find out what they are in the most direct way ever…
ASK THEM!
Conduct a survey or poll.
Find out what your readers’ biggest worries, problems or questions are.
Then answer them on your blog.
Bam! Instant attention – and delighted followers of your blog.
Now, it’s time to practice what I preach… so what do YOU want to know about launching a blog in 2 weeks? Are you finding the content on this series helpful in any way? If it is helpful, please leave a comment on the posts you found useful. And if you didn’t like it or felt it lacking in any way, please share your thoughts on that too – we can try and make it even better! Thanks.

Excellent post again, Doc.
One of the most overlooked content ideas can be found in your own backyard..err I mean your own website statistics.
If you have a good stats software installed on your blogs (ie statcounter or google analytics) you can always look out for the ways people have found your site.
In fact I gave good example of How I did that 2 yrs ago(well still doing it) in my post
Mining long tail keywords

Right now my biggest challenge is the TECHNICAL one.
I have my new Wordpress blog up and running, but the banner in the theme I’m using is not appropriate for my topic and I want to make all kinds of layout changes. It’s complicated in Wordpress and I don’t want to get bogged down for hours with technical issues. Very frustrating.
I’m having trouble figuring out how to do really simple things like making changes in the sidebar!!! I’m beginning to think that i need to just outsource the whole design thing and concentrate on content…
Hey Batyboo, It’s better idea to outsource your design issues. It can be really a big headache for people who don’t understand php.
Or you can do is find a very simple layout like I did and just implement on your blog. If you look at this blog. It’s really simple. No fancy logo, no banners. Yet it’s elegant.
