Your Blog PROFITS

RE-TWEET IT!

This Blog PROFITS post is a part of “2 Weeks To Launch Your Blog“.

Some years back, it was blasphemous to talk about making money from a blog!

Blogging was considered a pure form of journalism, unspoilt by mercenary considerations such as making money from the process.

All that has changed. Today, bloggers hit the keyboard with dreams of becoming the next 6-figure income earner or better.

And to match this demand for blog income streams, many services and products have appeared in the marketplace over the last 4 or 5 years so you have a basket of choices to select from.

Not all of these ideas will work for your blog, so go through them and pick a few that you can start testing out first. Then, depending on how well they work for you, you can include others or drop the non-performers.

Let’s look at the blog profit options available to most bloggers.

1. Advertise Yourself

Your blog is your own exclusively ‘personal’ (read ‘non-competitive’) advertising space. YOU are the featured sponsor, the valued advertiser, the guest star – all in one.

Use the valuable real estate to promote yourself. Your dream employer or client might be reading your blog… and may hire you right away!

2. Solicit Donations

One proven way to generate profits from your blog is to invite visitors to donate cash to cover your costs, or even for other purposes. If you have established a trusting relationship and have offered valuable content to readers, they’ll certainly reciprocate.

3. Sell Your Blog Content

Compiling powerful blog content in the form of an ebook, report or even print book is another way to profit from your blog – and you have a ready to buy audience in your blog visitors!

4. Blog Content Syndication

Offer to syndicate content from your blog to other websites, email newsletters – even other blogs. You could charge a monthly or annual fee for this service.

5. Create Members-Only Private Blogs

Place your blog behind a password protected web-front. Let visitors know that it is open only to members. To view your content, they must pay a membership fee.

6. Sell from Your Blog

Another way to add profit streams and value to your blog is to use a direct selling model of revenue creation. By featuring (or linking to) a powerful sales letter for your product or service, you can make sales to readers who have grown to trust you and will order right away.

Stay tuned – there are some more blog profit models coming in the next post.

Have you used any other models to profit from your blogging? Please share them with other readers – you can post it here in the Comments section or write about it on your blog and send me the link to your post.
